65th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings

To mark the 65th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, the organisation “Normandie Mémoire” has planned 25 simultaneous firework displays which will take place along a 50-mile stretch of Normandy coastline. This spectacular tribute will stretch all the way from Ste Marie du Mont to Merville-Franceville. “Normandie Mémoire” says the firework displays illuminating the skies will be Normandy’s way of saying “thank you” to Allied Forces who contributed to the Liberation of Normandy and France.

The displays will take place on 5 June.

Additional entertainment will be laid on at each of the firework display venues.
